Position: Business Analyst Location: Montgomery, AL (Onsite) In Person Interview Duration: Multi Year Renewable Contract Position Description This position will serve as a Business Analyst for the Alabama Department of Public Health - Information Technology Division. This role involves working closely with the Health Level 7 (HL7) team and various business units to support public health-related facilities. The HL7 team manages the Rhapsody messaging engine, which processes millions of HL7 messages annually from healthcare facilities, insurance companies, labs, and other public health-related entities.
Key responsibilities include documenting the on-boarding process for facilities, assisting with registration, testing, and troubleshooting, developing and generating reports, performing system testing, and documenting testing results. Additionally, this position requires learning various computer languages such as XML, JSON, and .NET Core, which will contribute to some web development tasks to support the HL7 team.
A solid work history, experience in documenting and researching issues, willingness to learn, and the ability to work both independently and as a valued team member are essential.
